Orania, South Africa

Orania is a town in the centre of South Africa where only white people are allowed to live. Orania has a population of about 600. After the fall of the Apartheid regime, the town was formed by descendants of the Netherlander to preserve the culture of the Afrikaaner.

Most of residents are elderly people. Many of them came here due to the insecurity. One of the residents, Mr and Ms Granzi said "We are originally from Victoria and were running a small business, but robbers broke into our shop. We realized that living in the South African urban areas was very dangerous."

This is a documentation of life in Orania.
